I would think, most people who really know me, if asked, whoʼs Kimʼs all time favorite, they would answer PJ Harvey. I first became aware of her in college, circa 1987, but it wasnʼt until 1993, when I have moved back to Northern California. Sebastopol to be specific. I distinctly remember driving to a strip mall record store and buying my first pj cd. I was instantly hooked.

I try to stay ip to date on all things Polly. Some years go by in-between projects. Her last album Let England Shake, came out Valentineʼs Day 2011. I just got word that a new album is coming out April 15th, for us USAers, tax day. I pre-ordered my vinyl already. You can too.girl_opium_final

Last October, the book, The Hallow of the Hand, a collaboration between PJ and Seamus Murphy, a photographer. “Between 2011 and 2014 PJ Harvey and Seamus Murphy set out on a series of journeys together to Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Washington, D.C.. Harvey collected words, Murphy collected pictures, and together they created an extraordinary chronicle of our life and times. The Hollow of the Hand marks the first publication of Harvey’s powerful poetry, in conversation with Murphy’s indelible images.” http://www.bloomsbury.com/us/the-hollow-of-the-hand-9781408865286/
